REMINDER: Comments due tomorrow (Jan 12) on US World Heritage Nominations

The information below is being transmitted to US/ICOMOS members to solicit comments on US nominations to the World Heritage List and the possible addition of sites to the US World Heritage Tentative List. Please read the Federal Register Notice in its entirety. In accordance with the FR notice:
“Please provide all comments directly to Jonathan Putnam, Office of International Affairs, National Park Service, 1201 Eye Street, NW.(0050), Washington, DC 20005 or by email to:  Phone . Fax 202–371–1446. All comments will be a matter of public record. Before including an address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in a comment, please be aware that the entire comment—including personal identifying information—may be made public at any time. While you can request that personal identifying information be withheld from public review, it may not be possible to comply with this request.”

As someone who in the past has expressed views regarding properties that should be considered for nomination by the United States to the UNESCO World Heritage List, you may have an interest in submitting a comment to the National Park Service as per the announcement published today in the Federal Register (see link below).  The 30-day comment period concludes on January 12, 2011.
