Pamela Jerome, AIA, LEEDTM AP is a preservation architect with 35 years ‘experience. She holds a B Arch in architectural engineering from the National Technical University in Athens, Greece (1979) and an M Sc in historic preservation from Columbia University (1991). She is currently president Architectural Preservation Studio, a New York City-based architecture, exterior envelope and historic preservation firm. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Ms. Jerome served as a Trustee of the Board of World Heritage USA (International Council on Monuments and Sites) from 2003-09, and is that organization’s liaison to the APT (Association for Preservation Technology International) board. Ms. Jerome is immediate past vice president of ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Earthen Architectural Heritage (ISCEAH), expert member of ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on 20th Century Heritage (ISC20C) and International Committee on Vernacular Architecture (CIAV), was an elected officer of ICOMOS Scientific Council (2006-15) where she was responsible for the interdisciplinary research of 28 International Scientific Committees, and currently an elected member of the international Board of ICOMOS. She serves as the World Heritage USA liaison to the APT (Association for Preservation Technology International) Board and is a Fellow of APT. She is also a member of Global Heritage Fund’s Senior Advisory Board. Her expertise is in masonry conservation and waterproofing, with a particular emphasis on 20th-century heritage, earthen architecture and archaeological site preservation. Ms. Jerome has consulted on cultural property conservation in the US, Mediterranean, Black Sea and Middle East.
