Our annual fundraiser, the 2023 Gala Celebration of World Heritage, held live and in person for the first time since 2019.
The 2023 Gala Celebration was held in conjunction with our Symposium in San Antonio, a vibrant World Heritage city. San Antonio is home to five 18th century Franciscan mission complexes inscribed on the World Heritage list in 2015. The San Antonio Missions interweave Spanish and Coahuiltecan cultures, including the decorative elements of the churches which combine Catholic symbols with indigenous designs inspired by nature.
Attendees participated in a gala dinner and awards ceremony in an unforgettable World Heritage Site setting while furthering international heritage cooperation and exchange.
