Noah Price Honored with NCPH New Professional Award

Montréal, Québec, March 29, 2025 — Noah Price, Media & Marketing Program Associate for the Monuments Toolkit, was honored by the National Council on Public History with the New Professional Award at this year’s Annual Meeting. The award committee honors two public historians with this travel grant each year.

In order to receive the New Professional Award, the nominated individual must be a public historian with less than three years of practice in the field. The award provides a grant for the recipient to attend the annual meeting and share about their work with other public historians.

The committee stated, “Members of the selection committee were impressed by Price’s explanation of his historical passions and journey to his current position, working at an organization dedicated to facilitating conversation within communities about how to best interpret monuments and markers. The committee felt that [Price] would benefit greatly from being able to further network and grow from conversations with colleagues in the field.”

Price will be writing a forthcoming blog for NCPH’s History@Work and will conduct an “Instagram takeover” on @publichistorians later this fall.
