Helen McKenna, retired Interpretation Ranger at Independence National Historical Park and the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site

Helen McKenna had the privilege of serving as a National Park Ranger at Independence

National Historical Park for 25 years. During that time, she gained recognition as someone using innovative interpretive techniques to engage visitors. Her undergraduate degree is in theater arts and she has a masters in English literature, both from Rutgers university. She is currently finishing her first novel and enjoys interpreting the life of and portraying the author Edgar Allan Poe. 

She resides in South Jersey with her husband Valentine Uff.
