If you have a valid ICOMOS Young Professional Membership, you are eligible to join some ICOMOS International Scientific Committees as an Associate Member!

International Scientific Committees (ISC’s) have been established on various cultural heritage themes and issues. These committees are technical bodies of ICOMOS and their members consist of international renowned expert specialists. As such, they undertake research, develop conservation theory, guidelines, and charters, and foster training for better heritage conservation, promote international exchange of scientific information and carry out common projects.

How to join an International Scientific Committee

Step 1: Consult the list of International Scientific Committees on the ICOMOS website

Step 2: Read about the membership requirements/application process on the ISC’s website OR email the ISC president to ask them about the process (each ISC can have different membership requirements and application processes, so when in doubt, contact the ISC president)
