Final Program Symposium of the
Summer, 2016 Class of the US/ICOMOS
International Exchange Program
“Sustaining Cultural Heritage
in the 21st Century”:
Emerging Heritage Professionals from Around the World on Today’s Preservation Questions
Wednesday, August 10
2:30 to 5 p.m.
The Members of the Summer, 2016 Class will speak individually and in panels to the following topics:
Genius Loci: A Holistic Approach to Landscapes, Material Culture, People, and Traditions
At Water’s Edge, Approaches to Mitigating the effects of Climate Change on Heritage
Heritage and Sustainability at three different scales: Amritsar/India, Yesilyurt/Turkey and Natchitoches /USA
The Symposium will be followed by a Reception in honor of the Class from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
All events will be held at the Heurich House,
Washington, DC.
